The funding has enabled us to purchase essential gardening tools, vegetable plants and compost, helping us to develop the space into a productive and welcoming environment for learning.
A growing club of enthusiastic students now helps to care for the garden, taking part in planting, watering and maintaining the raised beds. The project is already having a positive impact, giving pupils hands‑on experience and encouraging teamwork, responsibility and a love of the outdoors. We have a selection of vegetables and bee friendly flowers in our garden, including peas, broad beans, tomatoes, lavender and marigolds.
We are extremely grateful to Dover Town Council for making this possible.
