Support Staff Vacancies
Exams Officer
Pay: KSD £27,904 - £29,020 fte, £20,825 - £21,755 actual
Start Date: October 2026
Interviews: September 2026
Hours: 30 hours a week, 41 weeks per year – Term Time Plus 10 days (to include both GCSE and A Level results days). Monday to Friday 8am to 2.30pm with a 30 minutes daily unpaid lunch break
An opportunity has arisen to join our successful, happy and forward-thinking school as an Exams Officer.
The post holder will:
- be responsible for the organisation and smooth running of both internal and external examinations
- act as the primary liaison between the school and external examination bodies
- be familiar with the requirements and regulations placed on schools by both awarding bodies and the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) and will ensure that the school is compliant with these before, during, and after examination periods
The ideal candidate must:
- be a highly organised multi-tasker
- have excellent communication
- have the ability to work under pressure
- be a strong team player
- be able to prioritise workloads at a fast pace

Exam Invigilators
We are looking to recruit Invigilators for the coming exam season and on an ongoing basis. Experience is not necessary as training will be given, but it is important that you are responsible, reliable, calm and adaptable. The ability to work as part of a team, under direction, and to communicate effectively are essential.
Invigilators will be required to conduct examinations in accordance with JCQ regulations and the school’s instructions and will play a key role in upholding the integrity of the examination process. Please note that invigilators are required to stand for extended periods of time.
